The ERS will stop most handgun bullets. It can be used to help shield the officer or add soft armor to their vehicle. The ERS has cover options with law enforcement in mind. The cover is offered with velcro on the side towards the "enemy" as well as as a pocket for trauma plates. The velcro allows the officer to place a patch identifying himself as a police officer. The shield can still be rolled up, but if a patch or trauma plate is installed, the shield is folded once, with a quick release system set up for rapid deployment. The officer can grab the shield by the carry handle and attend to situations with it folded, or may release the bottom half for added protection. The third method is that the panel is folded in three parts with velcro or straps and looks similar to a thin briefcase. This method also allows the cover to retain the velcro, patch and trauma plate. On the side facing the officer, there are two grab handles and a molle system, so the officer can attach gear bags and gear as the officer deems appropriate. Our Police Emergency Response Shield is available in two sizes. 16x32 and 22x35. The covers are available in green and black. The ERS should never be used as a replacement for a bullet proof vest. The ERS has met the 3A NIJ 04 standards.
