The ballistic protection shield is bullet resistant, not bulletproof. It will not stop rifle bullets nor contain discharges from rifles or bullets traveling in excess of 1400fps. The shield may be penetrated by rifle rounds, pistol rounds fired from a rifle and certain armor piercing ammo. Personal injury and property damage may result if used incorrectly as well as used in a correct manner. Ballistics is not an absolute science and the energy of the bullet may result in personal injury such as broken bones, bruising or more severe injuries due to the blunt force trauma, even when stopping the bullet. This energy from the bullet may result in situations when the bullet is stopped by the shield. Stopping bullets is a dangerous situation and presents a high degree of risk in every situation.  If the shield is struck by a bullet, it is compromised and must be replaced immediately. The shield must be considered useless after receiving a bullet or edged weapon assault. The use of any ballistic resistant Trolgar product by the buyer, or any person, shall result in that person taking all risks attendant thereto. Trolgar sets forth that the buyer or any person using a Trolgar ballistic resistant product assumes all risks and releases Trolgar from any liability for their use of any Trolgar product. Using any product to stop a bullet is dangerous and can fail. The buyer assumes all risk. These shields have not been NIJ certified to the 2010 standards. There are some bullets that will defeat bullet resistant vests at less than 1,400 fps. The shield should never be used as a substitute to a NIJ certified vest.

The buyer assumes all responsibility respecting the purchase and local laws. It is the buyers responsibility to comply with all laws, both Federal and State.
