Trolgar Protection Shields
Each ballistic protection shield measures 16" by 32", or 22" by 35" and is similar to a previous III-A rated bullet resistant vest. Larger and smaller sizes are available upon request. The panel is made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Fiber, also known as HSHM-PE fiber. This material is also stab and cut resistant. The shield acts like a catchers mitt. It catches the bullet and absorbs the energy. This is only one half of the protection equation. The shield is contained in a nylon cover. The panel slips into the cover and then is closed and secured by a large velcro strip. The covers are also sold separately so they can be matched to any room, decor or situation. Most of the covers have handles sewn into them as well as D rings to secure them to a wall or door or window. There is also a strap, which can be used to secure the panel or even be placed around a persons neck to provide protection from handguns. In the event of cleaning accidents, the shield will stop a handgun bullet from harming a person on the other side of the wall. Interchangeable nylon covers are available in black, red, blue, green, camouflage, the Stars and Stripes, and the Stars and Bars. They are also available with wildlife scenes.
